About Us

My photo
The Anderson family began in July 2003. Our family of two, soon became a family of three when we welcomed our first baby girl in December 2004. Alexis was joined by a brother and sister in March 2007. Twinners Dane and Hailey graduated our family of 3 to a family of 5. In March 2012 our family was completed by the arrival of our beautiful baby Kate. We are a busy family to say the least, but the happiest family in the world! We couldn't be a happier stronger family!

Things I enjoy..

I have some radom pictures of funny things, or things I enjoy doing, seeing, being a part of etc. So I thought I would share some that I have gathered over the years :)
This is just wrong :) Someone took this shot at the last Boat Race Weekend here in the Tri Cities... Just wrong if you ask me, but everytime I see it I start laughing :)

This one cracks me up as well. I got this in an email fwd a while back and have held onto it. Could you imagine coming across a sight like that! -Well organized :)
Here's one that I LOVE. This is my dad balancing Alexis when she was just over a year. My parents got pictures of us as kids with my dad doing this with us. So I was extremely excited to get this shot and have it in our record books... Which reminds me, I need to get him to do this with Dane and Hailey now that they are a year. Just brings back memories.
Alright, here's a background story :) I see other people's kids and wonder why they are so quite and my kids are just loud. Then I see pictures like this where it reminds me why. This is a shot I got while Alexis and I were having a really fun screaming war. I think she actually won, but her face was so funny while we were doing it I had to get a picture. When she laughs really hard she gets the hick-ups, and I remember clearly how bad she had the hick-ups after this screaming war.

The beginning of chaos!!! Here I am kissing Dane, of course the other baby is Hailey :)
I came into the computer room where our futon is, and found Daddy and Dane sleeping peacefully, until Alexis wanted to join in the fun! She woke daddy up by crawling on him, but then proceeded to pretend to sleep. So Daddy pretended too for the camera Oh this is still one of my favorite shots of the twins!!! So Cute!!!
Alright here is the last picture (this was a long post!!) I have posted this picture before, but it's too funny to pass by this time around. This is alexis very upset because I had painted her fingernails the previous day, and this was the only finger that the paint had come off of. And she wanted me to fix it!

LoL, wow, your little girl didn't look so happy in that last one!!! Looks like we did a similar blog. Mind is of funny pictures too.

Anyways, we finally got a date for an open house! It's going to be at Cameron's parents house on Friday September 12th, 7-9 p.m. It's going to be VERY casual. If you want to give me your address again I'll have them send you an invite. We'd love to see your family there!

Story of the twins arrival!

Alright, here's the scoop. On March 31st, I was starting to retain a bunch of water in my abdomin and the previous day I was spilling protein, so the doctor wanted me to go up to the hospital to have a lab taken to make sure I wasn't developing high blood pressure ( preeclampisa). So I went to the hospital at 8pm. The moment they hooked me up to the monitors I started contracting! Every 5 mins getting progressively worse in that hour. The doctor came back in and said, well you are in labor, what do you want to do?? I looked at him and told him he either had 3 hours to get these babies out of me, or we were waiting another 24 hrs because I was not going to have these babies on April 1st! So the doctor said, how soon can your husband be here? We then started preparing for Dane and Hailey's arrivals.
I arrived at the hospital to have some labs done at 8pm, by 9pm we decided we were delivering, and Dane arrived at 10:09pm and Hailey at 10:10pm. Both babies were in the NIC-U for 2 days since they were so early (35 1/2 weeks) and then were released to pediatrics with me and Drew. We were all able to head home on their week birthday:) Both Dane and Hailey are doing extremely well, and big sister Alexis couldn't be happier! I'm just glad they are out of my stomach!

Valarie Drew Alexis Dane and Hailey :)
