My old college roommie Jande tagged me~ I am suppose to tell you 6 quirks of mine. So here goes :)
1~I wont let anyone besides myself and my husband drive our kids around. Unless in certain situations, I will do anything to drive my kids to their destination spot! I know it's weird, but I worry about them being properly put in their car seats, how the person will drive, all those stupid crazy mom things! I do them! My sister wanted to come pick up Alexis a while back so her daughter could play with her. I was fine with it until she suggested she come and pick her up. That nixed the entire plan. Why am I so weird?! I am already worrying about when it comes time for Alexis to go to school. I probably wont let her ride the school bus, I will cart her to and from school. Buses don't have seat belts!!! :)
2~I HATE shopping! The only time I go to stores is if I need something. And if so, I will go, get it, and leave! My mom tried and tried when I was younger to teach me how to comparison shop, I hated it!!!! I am not a thrifty shopper because I don't care to compare prices, I just go get what I need/want and then I am done!
3~My husbands gets so annoyed at this one..... Laundry. I am really good about washing, drying, and folding laundry, but then it just sits in the laundry basket FOREVER! It just so happens, in my defense, that I get the laundry washed and dried,,, then when the kids are sleeping I fold it, (kids stuck in their cribs make it easy to fold clothes on an open floor:) But then I can't put the clothes away, cause it goes in the rooms where the kids are sleeping. And when the kids wake up, I am watching them and doing other things, the laundry just gets forgotten about :) Till Drew finally decides to put it away a couple days later :) I am so bad at that!
4~ I can not stand the sound of silverware hitting people's teeth while they eat!!!! Oh man, it's like fingernails on a chalk board!!!!
5~I coach volleyball,,, I can't go to a practice without having prepared a practice plan before hand! Not sure if it's a security thing or what. I have to have it all prepared and thought out- I can't just go and wing it.
6~I doodle! I can not be on the phone talking without a pen and piece of paper nearby. I have to be doing something, whether it's writing notes down, or just plan doodling while I am talking! I have done it since I was little. I am a doodler!!!!
Now I am supposed to tag 6 people ---I tag.... Aimee, Kelsey, Caitlin, Sarah, Shanell, & Lynne.

Babies
Story of the twins arrival!
Alright, here's the scoop. On March 31st, I was starting to retain a bunch of water in my abdomin and the previous day I was spilling protein, so the doctor wanted me to go up to the hospital to have a lab taken to make sure I wasn't developing high blood pressure ( preeclampisa). So I went to the hospital at 8pm. The moment they hooked me up to the monitors I started contracting! Every 5 mins getting progressively worse in that hour. The doctor came back in and said, well you are in labor, what do you want to do?? I looked at him and told him he either had 3 hours to get these babies out of me, or we were waiting another 24 hrs because I was not going to have these babies on April 1st! So the doctor said, how soon can your husband be here? We then started preparing for Dane and Hailey's arrivals.
I arrived at the hospital to have some labs done at 8pm, by 9pm we decided we were delivering, and Dane arrived at 10:09pm and Hailey at 10:10pm. Both babies were in the NIC-U for 2 days since they were so early (35 1/2 weeks) and then were released to pediatrics with me and Drew. We were all able to head home on their week birthday:) Both Dane and Hailey are doing extremely well, and big sister Alexis couldn't be happier! I'm just glad they are out of my stomach!
Valarie Drew Alexis Dane and Hailey :)

I am the exact same way about silver ware on teeth! Bob makes fun of me and does it to annoy me, but it sends shivers up my spine! Uggh.
My quirks:
1- I am usually always on time, if not early, it's really hard for me to be late
2- When someone is talking and I want to listen, but I also want to remember something I cross my fingers. It's weird!
3- I make a super scary squinty face when I am thinking about something. It's totally involuntary, I can't help it!
4- I am a fidgeter, Bob hates this about me. But I can't sit still, I am constantly moving
5- I HAVE TO EAT SOMETHING SWEET AFTER A MEAL (even if it's small, I have to do it!)
6- I can cry at the drop of a hat, I am entirely too emotional!
I hear you on the doodling thing, I do that all the time. That totally stinks about your carseats. But just so you know I am paranoid about other people driving my kids as well, I feel a little bit better if I belted the carseat in because believe it or not a lot of people don't do that right!!!!!! So if I can strap them in I feel better but not entirely:)
